5 Car Burglaries In Burr Ridge: Police

A Chanel bag and two Louis Vuitton wallets were stolen at one house, police say.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police reported another string of car burglaries, one of which resulted in the theft of a Chanel bag and two Louis Vuitton wallets. Here is the information from the police reports:

  • A 2016 Audi was burglarized between 9 p.m. Feb. 4 and 8 a.m. Feb. 5 in the 8500 block of Timber Ridge Drive. Nothing was reported missing.
  • A 2018 Toyota RAV4 was burglarized 5:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 8 a.m. Feb. 5 in the 8500 block of Timber Ridge Drive. Garage door openers and keys for rental properties were stolen.
  • Three men entered two garages in the 8700 block of Johnston Road on Feb. 5 and entered a 2014 Bentley and a 2020 Cheverolet. A black Chanel tote bag, two Louis Vuitton wallets, one garage door opener and several credit cards were stolen.
  • A 2008 Lexus parked in the driveway was burglarized Feb. 5 on Kraml Drive. An officer spotted the right passenger door ajar. The glove compartment and center console were open, and the contents had been rummaged through. The resident said the car belonged to her fatther and that he was out of town. She said she did not think he kept anything of value in the Lexus.
  • A resident in the 8100 block of Woodside Lane was inside his car when a black Mercedes SUV pulled in front his driveway shortly after 7 a.m. Feb. 5. A man exited the rear passenger side and walked up the driveway. When the resident got out of his car, the Mercedes passenger went back into his car and it sped off. An officer reviewed surveillance footage, which showed a dark Mercedes entering and exiting the subdivision when the resident said. The Mercedes was later reported stolen, and there was a connection to several BMWs in Burr Ridge, police said.
