5 Disturbances In Burr Ridge: Police

The situations involve loud music, fireworks, an angry customer, a urinating man and a racing driver.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police responded to five disturbances recently. Here is information from the reports:

  • After receiving a noise complaint, two officers could hear loud music from a house about 2:30 p.m. June 27 in the 15W100 block of 60th Street. A person at the house said her sister was in the pool with friends. She said she would tell her sister to turn down the music. A little more than an hour later, police were called again about the music. A person complained that not only was the music kept the same volume, but it contained explicit language. The music could be heard from a block away. The residents again said they would change the music and turn it down.
  • A resident was shooting fireworks about 9:30 p.m. June 27 on Deer Path Trail. The resident told police that she and others were shooting the fireworks in a field behind their house. She and others said they were done and had no more fireworks. The officer warned them not to use illegal fireworks.
  • Police were informed about 7:30 a.m. June 24 that a man wearing a blue hoodie was urinating by a white minivan near West Plainfield Road and Garywood Drive.
  • A guest at Crowne Plaza, 300 S. Frontage Road, reported seeing a car racing down the parking lot at the hotel about 1:30 a.m. June 24. Police were unable to find the driver.
  • An employee of Sephora, 582 Village Center Drive, called police about a customer wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt who became upset when the store was unable to accept items she was attempting to return. The woman left before police arrived.
