5 Neighbor Complaints In Burr Ridge
Music, dump trucks and garbage are among the complaints handled by Burr Ridge police.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police handled a number of neighbor complaints in recent days, involving everything from loud music to garage. Here is information from the police reports.
- A resident in the 7900 Garfield Avenue told police May 20 that nails were sticking through on the outside deck shared with his neighbors. He said he believed the neighbor did this on purpose when he repaired the deck. Police advised the resident call the homeowners association about the issue.
- A resident on Bridle Court informed police May 20 that dump trucks are cutting through the neighborhood. An officer found the trucks were going to and from a construction site on Shenandoah Court and are fine to be there.
- A resident in the 15W400 block of 89th Street told police May 20 that his neighbor left mulch and sticks on his property. Both parties have been in a dispute over property lines, and an officer again referred the issue to the village government.
- Police received a complaint about loud music shortly after 11:30 p.m. May 20 in the 8200 block of Windsor Court. A person at the house said he was having a small gathering and had turned down the music. He denied any underage drinking was happening. An officer could not smell alcohol while talking with the person. The officer asked him to call his father to come over. The person did, and the father said he would make sure the small gathering was over.
- A resident in the 400 block of Parkview Place informed police May 21 that his neighbor had placed garbage bags and cans in front of his home on the public roadway, which angered him because he had gotten complaints from the postal carrier. The neighbor told the officer that she would not do so again just to keep the peace.
