6 Neighbor Complaints In Burr Ridge: Police
"Unpleasant" karaoke was the source of one complaint in the village.
BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent times, Burr Ridge police responded to complaints about "unpleasant" karaoke, noise from a party, a yelling man and a trailer in a driveway, among others. Here is information from the Burr Ridge police reports:
- A resident complained about loud noise about 11 p.m. Aug. 29 at County Wine Merchant, 208 Burr Ridge Parkway. When contacted by an officer, the owner turned off the music immediately. The resident wanted advice on how to stop the "unpleasant" karaoke coming from the bar. The officer gave advice, but the report did not indicate what it was.
- Police received a noise complaint about 4 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 16W300 block of 93rd Place. A woman told officers that she and her friends were having a bonfire. She said the party was over, and everyone was going inside for the night. She put the fire out and went inside.
- A woman showed police a video of a man who yelled at her that he would get her kicked out of the subdivision. The incident happened at 10 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 9500 block of Fallingwater Drive East. The man appeared upset over the woman's barking dogs. An officer advised the woman to save the video and call police again if the man returned.
- A resident in the 11400 block of Burr Oak Lane complained to police Aug. 29 about a trailer parked in a nearby driveway. Previous complaints had been referred to the village's code enforcement department.
- A resident on Dougshire Court told police Aug. 27 that someone was fishing in the pond behind his house. The pond is owned by the homeowners association. An officer spoke with the fisherman and warned him about fishing on private property. The resident was advised to have the association send the fisherman a no-trespassing order.
- A resident in the 6200 block of Garfield Avenue informed police Aug. 30 that a neighbor was having a large open burn in the backyard. The neighbor said he was burning branches in his backyard's fire pit. The fire was almost out, and an officer informed the resident of the village's open burn policy. A warning was issued.
