5 Unlocked Cars Broken Into: Burr Ridge Police

BURR RIDGE, IL — Five unlocked cars were burglarized in a Burr Ridge neighborhood one night last week. Here are the details from the police reports:

• An unlocked 2015 Jeep parked in a driveway was burglarized about 2 a.m. April 28 in the 8400 block of Clynderven Road. A garage door opener was stolen and was possibly used to enter the garage.
• An unlocked 2013 Lexus was burglarized about 2 a.m. April 28 in the 8500 block of Clynderven Road. An officer found paperwork for the Lexus in the middle of the street. The Lexus owner confirmed someone entered her car, rummaged through it and took a cosmetic bag, which the officer later found on Leonard Lane.
• An unlocked 2010 Honda parked in a driveway was burglarized about 2 a.m. April 28 in the 8500 block of Clynderven Road. Someone rummaged through the car. Nothing appeared to be missing.
• An unlocked 2012 Mercedes parked in a driveway was burglarized overnight April 27 in the 15W700 block of 83rd Street, which is close to Clynderven Road. Change and possibly a garage door opener were removed.
• An unlocked 2018 Jeep was burglarized between midnight and 7 a.m. April 28 in the 8600 block of Dolfor Cove, also close to Clynderven. Stolen were cash, credit cards, gas cards and IDs.
