6 Disputes In Burr Ridge: Police
Lifetime employee feels uncomfortable with member talking to her, report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police responded to a number of disputes in recent days. Here is information from the police reports:
- A Lifetime fitness center employee informed police Aug. 5 that a Lifetime member was making her feel uncomfortable and that she didn't want him talking to her anymore. When police contacted the man, he said he did not want anything to do with the woman and that he canceled his membership.
- A resident in a complex in the 7900 block of South Garfield Avenue informed police Aug. 10 that she hears loud treadmill noises coming from the unit above. She said they are late at night. An officer said she should contact her homeowners association to report the noise and call the police if she hears the noise again. The resident called again about the problem a day later.
- An executive at Tower Communications Expert, 114 Shore Drive, informed police Aug. 11 that a former employee said by phone that he would kill someone if $400,000 wasn't wired to him.
- A domestic disturbance was reported about 2 a.m. Aug. 12 in the 200 block of Forest Edge Court. It was an argument between two adults and a youth. No injuries were reported.
- A resident on Madison Street said she has lived there for a decade with a man who recently died. She told police Aug. 12 that she believes the man's son turned off the power. She had ComEd come and put the power in her name. An officer called the son, who said he was the executor of his father's estate. He said he did not tell ComEd to turn off the power, but said he was completing the legal process to have the woman evicted.
- Hydra Stop, 144 Tower Drive, requested an officer on standby Aug. 13 while the company fired an employee. The worker left without any problems.
