BURR RIDGE, IL – The corporate campus for Tuthill Corp. in Burr Ridge is vacant.
The property is at 8500 S. Madison St., next to a pond and mansions. The buildings total more than 50,000 square feet, according to real estate websites.
On Monday, two cars were parked next to the Madison-facing building, where the company's sign has been removed. Next to the main structure, a tattered American flag flew.
Tuthill, a manufacturer, acquired Joplin, Missouri-based EaglePicher Technologies in October 2023, according to the EaglePicher website. EaglePicher was to keep its name, but remain under Tuthill's ownership, the firms announced at the time.
According to Tuthill's website, parts of the company have been sold to firms such as Ingersoll Rand and Gorman-Rupp, among others, over the last few years.
