BURR RIDGE, IL – See that smoke. It's having an effect in Burr Ridge.
The village announced Thursday afternoon it was canceling its Concerts on the Green, which was set for 7 p.m. because of poor air quality. The smoke is coming from Canadian wildfires.
The event was set to feature Dustbowl Revival. It will not be rescheduled.
At next Thursday's concert, The Tossers band is scheduled to perform. It is described as a high-energy Celtic punk band.
The concerts are held at the Village Green at the Village Center shopping complex.
