• For Burr Ridge Mayor, A Campaign Ad That Writes Itself (patch.com) — Burr Ridge officials have voted to eliminate the village's property tax and replace it with a three‑quarter‑percent sales tax increase, a move expected to generate an extra $1 million and fund two more police officers. The change, championed by Mayor Gary Grasso as he runs for DuPage County Board chair, highlights Burr Ridge's debt‑free status and could become a central talking point in the countywide race.
   

• Burr Ridge Village Hall's Opening Delayed By 6 Months At Least (patch.com) — Burr Ridge's new Village Hall is now expected to open as late as March 2028, at least six months later than originally planned, while officials work through contracting and Cook County permitting. In the meantime, staff are operating from the public works office and board meetings continue at Gower Middle School, as the village pursues a $7.5 million, debt‑free project attached to the existing police station.
