BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge's village administrator, Evan Walter, is poised to get a 19 percent raise.
On Monday, the Village Board plans to vote on the hike, which would be retroactive to the beginning of the month.
In spring 2025, Walter saw his pay rise to $210,000, from $180,000, a 17 percent increase.
At $250,000, Walter would be making more than many of his counterparts, even those in towns ith larger populations.
Walter was promoted to the top job in November 2020, starting at $160,000. Before that, he was the assistant administrator for 3½ years.
Walter replaced Doug Pollock, who had served as village administrator for three years and received a severance package of $38,000.
With his expected new pay, Walter will make the same amount as the incoming city manager in Elmhurst, which is about four times Burr Ridge's size.
