Q:  Hi Ross – I always like to experiment with my hair color in the summer.  What’s new and exciting for me to check out?

A:  Great question -- let’s talk about some color trends for summer. There's a trend that really excites me, that’s new and fresh!  L’Oreal has launched a new “temporary” color.  Now, some of you might remember temporary hair color as just another bad memory of the ‘80s – like big hair and shoulder pads.  When you really wanted your color to last back in the day, you just ended up with darker hair, and it didn’t last. But, L’Oreal’s new product line called Hair Chalk lasts two to 16 shampoos, and it’s available in a palette of fashion colors like blue, purple, and copper.  There’s also a perfect shade of light brown that you can use to accent braids, or highlight darker hair for a special occasion.  I think it’s great for  changing your look, even on a whim.  Think of it as your chance to be a hair chameleon!  I think of it as cosmetics for hair. Currently, it’s available in 7 shades, but it’s only a matter of time before L’Oreal expands the colors options.  Hair Chalk, in my opinion, is going to revolutionize the category of service for the hair care industry.  Have fun with it!
