Can't Find Time For a Flu Shot? Loyola's Got You Covered

To better meet the needs of our busy patients, Loyola University Health System's Immediate Care facility in Burr Ridge is offering flu shots to patients without appointments.

To better meet the needs of our busy patients and improve health in our community, Loyola University Health System's Immediate Care facility in Burr Ridge is offering flu shots to patients without appointments.

“People often have a hard time finding time in their busy schedules to add one more thing, but they have even less time to get sidelined by the flu,” said Beatrice Probst, MD, medical director of Loyola’s immediate care network. “Symptoms from the flu can last 7-10 days and no one has time for that so we are making flu shots available in our immediate care locations without having to make an appointment.”

Symptoms of the flu can be severe and even life-threatening. People who are most vulnerable are adults 65 and older, individuals with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women and young children ages 6 months-4 years. Still, everyone should get a flu shot to protect themselves and those they love.
