What is Immediate Care?

Dr. Beatrice Probst, medical director of Immediate Care at Burr Ridge, explains when to go to immediate care and when to go to the ER.

The Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge has a convenient Immediate Care Center. Dr. Beatrice Probst, medical director of Immediate Care, explains how this is not where you would go for a heart attack or a stroke, but rather for the flu, a sprained ankle, simple cuts or a headache.

When you want to be seen right away, this is the place to go. However, if you are suffering a medical emergency such a stroke, be sure to go to the emergency room or dial 911 for help.
