Burglary Attempts In Burr Ridge: Cops
One man was seen armed with a handgun, police said.
BURR RIDGE, IL – Two attempted burglaries occurred Monday morning in Burr Ridge neighborhoods, police said in an alert.
The first one was about 6:45 a.m. near Plainfield and County Line roads, with the second one 20 minutes later at German Church and County Line roads, police said. In the second case, a car was reported stolen.
Police later said they arrested four suspects, but did not release their names.

In both cases, three or four men entered the garage using garage door openers that were inside unlocked cars parked outside, police said. The men, who were in a dark SUV, checked car door handles.
In one case, one of the men was seen holding a handgun while his accomplices searched the cars in the garage, police said.

The stolen car was unlocked with the keys inside, police said.
The police department reminded residents to lock their cars and not to leave the keys inside.
