The administrator is set to get $38,000 under separation agreement that board is considering.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge Village Administrator Douglas Pollock, who had held his position since 2017, plans to step down early next month. He is set to get $38,000 in severance pay as part of an agreement that the Village Board is considering.
On Thursday, he submitted a resignation letter to the Village Board and noted the separation agreement that the board would consider at its meeting Monday. His last day is set for Nov. 6.
Pollock started with the village as community development director in 1995.

"Doug has our thanks and gratitude," the mayor said.
Pollock, Grasso said, would provide his planning expertise part time going forward.
On Oct. 26, the board plans address Pollock's replacement. Assistant Village Administrator Evan Walter has been mentioned as a possible replacement before.
Pollock, who is also a member of the Riverside Village Board, is slated to get his severance pay by Dec. 18.
In an email to Trustee Zach Mottl on Friday, Grasso said the matter was discussed in closed session Sept. 14. In that meeting, Pollock suggested he might retire earlier and his terms to do so included his providing planning expertise part time because the village would be without a planner once he retired, Grasso said.
