Segway-riding salesman charged with soliciting without a permit, report says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A third door-to-door solicitor from a Utah-based pest control company has been cited by Burr Ridge police on a charge of soliciting without a permit, according to a police report.

Late the morning of Aug. 29, police received a complaint that a Segway-riding solicitor was going door to door on 94th Place. Police cited Kennedy K. Linehan, who admitted to soliciting without a permit and drove away in his 2017 BMW with Utah license plates, the report said. His Facebook page indicates that he is from Utah and works for Aptive Environmental.

On July 9, Burr Ridge police cited two solicitors with Aptive Environmental on charges of soliciting without permits. Another two were also cited in Elmhurst around the same time.
