Burr Ridge Community Church Named Recipient of 2026 Community Food Drive

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge Community Church is honored to announce that it has been selected as one of the local receiving organizations for the 2026 Community Food Drive, organized by the Burr Ridge/Willowbrook Chamber of Commerce.

Running from October 1 through November 15, the annual drive encourages residents, local businesses, and civic groups to collect nonperishable food items to help support neighborhood families. Items gathered during this drive will go directly toward stocking Burr Ridge Community Church’s 24/7 Micro Pantry and funding its ongoing local assistance programs.

Located right on the church grounds, the Micro Pantry serves as an accessible resource for anyone in the community in need of food or personal care items. Every item donated—no matter how small—helps ensure local households have reliable access to essentials as the holiday season approaches.

Where to Drop Off Donations

Collection bins are set up at convenient locations across Burr Ridge and Willowbrook, including:

• Burr Ridge Village Hall
• Community Resource Center
• (and additional participating local businesses and community centers)

Most Needed Items

Community members planning to donate are encouraged to look for shelf-stable items such as:

• Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, salmon) and soups
• Canned vegetables, fruits, and tomato products
• Pasta, rice, grains, and dry beans
• Peanut butter and whole-grain cereals
• Personal care items (toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant)
