Burr Ridge Firm Learns Worker's Beef: Police
Company calls police to report that an employee was ignoring its calls.
BURR RIDGE, IL — A trucking company in Burr Ridge called police about an employee who had gone missing recently, according to a report. A village officer found out what the situation was.
On May 13, Unique Transport, 16W345 83rd St., called the police department to say an employee was missing after he made a delivery to Texas and was ignoring the company's calls, the report said. An officer spoke with the employee on the phone. The employee said he was fine and wanted Unique to fix the truck before he drove back to Illinois, the police report said. The officer passed on the information to the company.
In another personnel matter in town, the owner of a landscaping company who lives on Johnston Road requested advice Tuesday on how to stop a former employee from texting him threats. He did not wish to sign a complaint. The officer told him to block the phone number, which the owner said he would do.
