Burr Ridge Park Fight Draws Dozens: Police
Two children get into fight at Harvester Park, report says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Forty to 50 children on bicycles were gathered Saturday night at the soccer field at Harvester Park to watch a couple of them beat each other up, according to a Burr Ridge police report. By the time police got there, the park was clear, but a few children were found on bicycles in the Chestnut Hills subdivision and the Hampton Inn parking lot.
After speaking with a dozen children, it was determined the fight was between "mutual combatants" and no one needed medical assistance, the police report said.
An officer later found one of the combatants, who admitted to fighting. The boy, who was being picked up by his father, said he was standing up for a friend who was being made fun of, the report said. The boy had no visible signs of injury.
