Burr Ridge Police Warn Of Possible Ruse Burglary Suspects

Burr Ridge Residents,

Recently there has been an increase in "ruse" type burglaries in Burr Ridge and surrounding towns.

Today at approximately 2:43 pm, two subjects in a black pick-up truck attemtpted to enter an occupied house in the 400 block of Kenmare Drive (Plainfiedl & County Line area) by saying they were checking on a "water emergency".

The subjects left in a black pick-up truck. They are describes as wearing a camoflage type mask and a bandana type mask.

If anyone comes to your house under such circumstances, do not let them in, lock your doors, and call 9-1-1 immediately. No one from the Village is out checking for water problems in anyone's home, and none will ask for entry into your home.
