Burr Ridge Ranked Among Best Places To Live In Illinois: Niche

The village, along with 96 other communities in the state, received an A+ grade on the website's rankings of best places to live for 2018.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge was ranked No. 52 among the best places to live in Illinois, according to a new list released by Niche. The village, along with 96 other communities in the state, received an A+ grade on the website's rankings of best places to live for 2018.

The list awarded grades from A+ to D- to communities across Illinois. Burr Ridge also received an A+ grade for its public schools. Burr Ridge was ranked right above Deer Park and below Hawthorn Woods.

Other grades Burr Ridge received were: a B- for housing, A+ for good for families, A- for crime and safety, B+ for nightlife and B+ for jobs. According to Niche, the worst grade for Burr Ridge was a C, which was for cost of living.

To calculate the rankings and assign grades to communities, Niche looked at factors like the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities.
