Burr Ridge Sees 4 New Virus Cases Since June 5
Mayor says residents must stay vigilant despite positive trends.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Since June 5, Burr Ridge has seen just four new cases of the coronavirus since June 5. Of the 93 village cases, 42 have been in long-term facilities, Mayor Gary Grasso said Friday.
"Despite the positive trends, the virus is still with us," Grasso said in his regular bulletin on the coronavirus. "Several southern states that have reopened more widely are reporting higher numbers, although Wisconsin's case count has seen a steady decline recently. Nonetheless, we must be aware of any increases in cases and understand why they occur. We must remain vigilant as we reopen the economy."
