Burr Ridge Shooter Killed Boss, Shot Receptionist: Cops
Arkansas man later took his own life after seeing officers, police said.

BURR RIDGE, IL – The man who police said shot two people, one fatally, in Burr Ridge on Tuesday has been identified. He later took his own life, police said.
Jeremy Jerome Spicer, 31, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, shot a man and a woman at two workplaces, Burr Ridge authorities said at a news conference Wednesday.
Spicer first entered Winners Freight at 16W475 S. Frontage Road and shot his boss, Nikola Misovic, 30, who died at the Hinsdale hospital soon after, according to media reports. He was said to be losing his job at Winners Freight.

He then went to his former workplace in the same building, Force Logistics, and shot a 31-year-old woman, a receptionist, police told media. The unidentified woman was reported in stable condition.
The police said Spicer went to a third office in the building and asked for the owner. But the owner wasn't there, so Spicer left.

At the news conference, Deputy Police Chief Marc Loftus said Spicer went to yet another business in the 7900 block of Madson Street.
"Spicer walked approximately a mile from the scene and holed up in a bathroom in another business," Loftus said. "He asked the company there if he could come in and use the restroom and they let him."
After he was in the restroom for about 20 minutes, employees at the business became suspicious, Loftus said.
"They basically told Spicer to leave and that they were closing for the day," the deputy chief said. "When Spicer left, they called police. Officers quickly responded. When the first officer arrived, Spicer turned his gun on himself and shot himself."
His weapon was a .40-caliber handgun, police said.
Spicer was staying at La Quinta Inn in Willowbrook while working for Winners Freight, according to a village news release.
