BURR RIDGE, IL — A Burr Ridge homeowners association hired a private security guard for the night recently to guard the subdivision. But it was the guard who aroused the suspicions of at least two residents.

About 10:30 p.m. June 2, police received a call that a car was parked by the Heather Fields subdivision sign near Manor Drive and West Plainfield Road. The resident told police the car seemed suspicious. So an officer went by and the guard explained the situation.

Two hours later, police got yet another call about the car. It was the same security guard.
