BURR RIDGE, IL – A Burr Ridge-based developer is requesting the village's approval for a 15-unit townhome development.

McNaughton Development's complex would be on the 4 acres of vacant land at the southeast corner of Burr Ridge Parkway and Bridewell Drive, which runs along Interstate 55.

The townhomes would be next to Marriott hotel and another McNaughton subdivision, Lakeside Pointe.

The new development would consist of townhomes starting at $775,000, according to the developer's proposal.

The Plan Commission is set to review the proposal at its meeting next Tuesday.

McNaughton Development said it aims to start the project in the fall, pending approvals. The project is expected to be finished in summer 2025.

The new development, called Villas of Lakeside Pointe, would be considered the second phase and a "natural extension" of the original Lakeside Pointe.

The development is designed for those seeking a "luxury, low-maintenance" community.

"With great walkability and accessibility to restaurants, shopping and fitness facilities, Lakeside Pointe encourages its residents to enjoy the social opportunities that are available in Burr Ridge," the proposal states. "This will benefit businesses and restaurants in the area."

McNaughton has built developments throughout the area. Last year, Burr Ridge officials criticized the developer for a gift cards-for-praise scheme as part of its effort to get approval for a subdivision.
