Burr Ridge Village Hall Serves As Warming Center

BURR RIDGE, IL — With bitter cold temperatures forecast, it's good to remember your area warming centers in case of an emergency. The village hall in Burr Ridge is a designated warming center, as well as the Indian Prairie Public Library in Darien.

The village said a designated warming center is a short-term emergency shelter that operates when temperatures or a combination of precipitation, wind chill, wind and temperature become dangerously inclement.

The hours for the village hall are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
