Burr Ridge Virus Cases Up 10 Percent
About 1.5 percent of town's population has had the coronavirus, figures show.
BURR RIDGE, IL — As of Sunday, Burr Ridge saw a 10 percent increase in its coronavirus caseload from a week earlier, according to county health authorities. The cases number 162, up 15 from the week before.

As of Sunday, Burr Ridge had 15 coronavirus cases per thousand people, or 1.5 percent of its population. The figure compares to 8.5 in Darien, 9.5 in Western Springs, 9.7 in La Grange Park, 10.6 in Clarendon Hills, 11.2 in Elmhurst, 12.4 in DuPage County, 14.6 in Hinsdale, 17.1 in suburban Cook County and 19.3 in La Grange.

As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 181,943, up 6 percent from a week earlier. The coronavirus has claimed the lives of 7,517 state residents.
Nationally, 4.6 million people have caught the virus and 154,002 have died from it.
