Couple Caught 'Getting Romantic': Burr Ridge Cops
Police approach situation after employees from a business call, report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Employees in a business in the 16W200 block of 83rd Street in Burr Ridge called about two vehicles they deemed as suspicious in the rear of a parking lot about 4 a.m. May 12.
According to a police report, a police officer found that two people were inside one of the cars "getting romantic." They were warned and sent on their way.

Suspicious people
- A trailer in the 16W200 block of South Frontage Road was reported as stolen May 13. The victim said a person in a burgundy GMC cargo van was the suspect.
- A resident in the 300 block of Old Oak Court called police May 15 to say that a man opened her mailbox, checked inside it and left. She said her mailbox was empty because she got her mail earlier in the day. The man was captured on her video camera. The man was followed by a dark vehicle as he checked the mailboxes in the area. She wanted an extra watch on the area. An officer checked the neighborhood and found some mailboxes were open, but police received no reports of mail thefts.
Solicitors

- A resident near Post Road and Stirrup Lane informed police May 18 that two men were going door to door soliciting. Two officers checked the area but could find no solicitors.
- A resident in the 1200 block of Kenmare Drive informed police May 19 that a man was going door to door soliciting without a mask and was possibly a Jehovah's Witness. Two officers checked the neighborhood and were unable to find the man.
- An officer was unable to find a man wearing a blue shirt and black pants going door-to-door soliciting about 6 p.m. May 12 in the 700 block of Tomlin Drive.
Disturbances
- A doctor at Loyola Center for Health, 6800 N. Frontage Road, asked for a police officer to be on standby while security escorted a patient out of the building. The doctor refused to see the patient after he had been abusive to her previously. The patient left without any problems.
- Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance about 5 p.m. May 15 at the Extended Stay America hotel. Two people were arguing over infidelity. One of them voluntarily left the hotel room with his belongings.
Animals
- A house-sitter in the 8900 block of Enclave Drive wanted advice May 15 on how to get rid of a sick raccoon.
- A resident in the 100 block of Tomlin Circle reported that a dead raccoon was in his front yard about 10 a.m. May 14. An officer confirmed the raccoon was dead and provided instruction on how to dispose of it.
- A resident on Sylvan Glen Court called police May 14 about a bird in his house. An officer provided the man with a 24-hour wildlife service number.
Other
- An officer saw six boys in Harvest Park's playground about 2:30 p.m. May 16. The officer told the boys that the playground was closed. They said they understood and were on their way out.
- Two officers took part in a birthday parade about 1:30 p.m. May 17 at 73rd Street and Forest Hill.
- An officer spoke with a woman in a 2002 Cadillac about 10:30 p.m. May 12 at BankFinancial, 60 North Frontage Road. She said she was lost and decided it would be best to take an Uber home. The Uber arrived, and she left. Her car stayed in the business' lot.
