Well-being check

A woman on Dec. 24 requested police conduct a well-being check for a man who lives on Carlisle Court. She said she had not spoken to her friend since May and wanted to make sure he was fine. An officer spoke with the man, who said he was fine and did not want to speak with the woman. The man's wife asked whether the officer could tell the woman to stop trying to contact her husband or they would pursue an order of protection. She said she would not try to contact him anymore.

The officer contacted the owner of Flood Brothers, a garbage service. A driver from the company later admitted that a load of trash was leaking from a garbage truck. The officer informed the company's owner that the city's public works department would contact him to work out compensation for the spill cleanup. The owner said he understood.
