Dog Left In Car Twice In Burr Ridge: Police

The second time, an officer told the car's owner to bring the dog inside his home, police said.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A dog was found unattended in a car two days in a row at a condominium complex in Burr Ridge, according to a police report.

About 8:30 p.m. May 5, police were called about the dog in a 2000 Infiniti at the condo complex at 140 Carriage Way. The caller said he was worried the dog would be left in the vehicle overnight. The car's owner said he was babysitting the dog and put the dog in the car about 7 p.m. for the dog's owner to pick up, police said. An officer said there were no signs of a problem.

The next day, police were called by the same person shortly before noon about the dog again being inside the same car. The caller said he thought the dog may have been left inside the car overnight. The owner, however, said he had just put the dog in the car in the morning, the police report said.
