Domestic Disturbances In Burr Ridge: Police

One argument was over a pair of broken glasses, police say.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Over the last week, Burr Ridge police have responded to a variety of calls, including domestic disturbances. Here is information from the police department's latest reports:

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 3 p.m. March 15 in the 8200 block of Park Avenue. A person said he was in a physical altercation with his father and in a verbal argument with his mother.
  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance in a Honda about 9 a.m. March 13 on Shore Drive. Two people had a verbal altercation.
  • Two women were arguing on the side of the road about 6 p.m. March 15 at County Line Road and Interstate 55. They denied that the fight had gotten physical. They said they were arguing about broken glasses.
  • A woman in the 100 block of Burr Ridge Parkway said the driver of a blue Porsche was yelling at her at 5 p.m. March 15. She said she wanted the area checked. The Porsche was gone when an officer arrived.
  • An employee at Sephora, 582 Village Center Drive, reported that a woman stole about $500 in merchandise about 7 p.m. March 14. The theft was recorded on video.
  • Joel Gonzales, 25, was arrested on a charge of DUI about 11 p.m. March 16 at 83rd Street and South County Line Road. He was sleeping in his car on the side of the road.
  • Desiree D. King, 23, was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding about 8:30 a.m. March 12 at 79th Street and Drew Avenue. She was released on bond.
  • A resident on Carriage Way Drive on March 12 asked for extra patrols to see which business south of her on Tower Drive was creating noise at various times of the night with its trucks. She wanted the business to stop delivering after 10 p.m. because it keeps waking her up.
  • A former employee of Tag Trans, 7701 S. Grant St., told an officer March 12 he was involved in a civil dispute with management over returning property. An officer said he could not get involved in a civil dispute.
  • An officer fired one round to euthanize a distempered raccoon at 6 p.m. March 12 in the 300 block of Countryside Court.
  • A man was informed by police about 5:30 p.m. March 10 that he could not fish at a private pond near 82nd and South Madison streets. The man said he understood and left.
  • People were going door to door promoting window repair services for Great American Exteriors about 7 p.m. March 10 in the 7900 block of Greenbriar Court. They were told they could not solicit without a permit. They were asked to stop for the night.
  • David C. Wilson, 19, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. March 10 at County Line Road and Woodgate Drive on a warrant for failure to appear in court and a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was released on bond.
