DUI Suspect Still Drunk 12 Hours Later: Burr Ridge Cops
Man blew a .09 after he tried to get car from police station, report says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A man who was arrested on a drunken driving charge Saturday returned to the Burr Ridge police station about 12 hours later and tried to get his car, but an officer found the man was still intoxicated, police said. Shortly before midnight Saturday, Obie Orr, 42, was stopped near County Line Road and Burr Ridge Parkway and was charged with DUI.
About noon the next day, Orr went to the police station to pick up his car. An officer gave Orr a preliminary breath test and found Orr's blood-alcohol content was .095, according to a police report. Orr said he would return a few hours later to pick up his car, police said. Orr was driven to the police station by a family member.

- An employee of a repo company called police to report that when he tried to repo a 2014 Ferrari 458 Spider from a house, the resident became upset and said he could shoot. The incident happened about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. Repo paperwork was forwarded to the police.
- A car was burglarized in the early evening of Dec. 8 at Lifetime Fitness, 601 Burr Ridge Parkway. The owner reported someone broke the left rear window of his 2017 Toyota Camry and removed a backpack. The backpack belonged to his wife and contained her driver's license and credit cards. The cards were used at Walgreens in Willowbrook. While investigating this burglary, an officer found a 2016 Mercedes with its left rear window broken. The owner said nothing was missing from the car.
- A resident on Northgate Place reported Dec. 5 that the covers for the garage keypads for all the houses on the block were open. The resident suspected someone was trying to gain entry. An officer spotted two garage keypads open.
- Police were called about a person standing on the side of the road near 79th and County Line Road with a sign. An officer went by and saw the person was holding a sign about religion. The officer told the caller that it was fine if the person stayed there as long as he was off the street.
- Daniel Vangronigen, 35, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 7 on a charge of DUI. The officer stopped him in the 1000 block of Alicia Court.
- Sarah J. Robinson, 25, was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. Dec. 7 at Interstate 55 and County Line Road on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped her for making an illegal U-turn.
