AlphaShowdown At Life Time Fitness Burr Ridge

Alpha Showdown participants will test their body's core energy systems through three gauntlets - power, strength, and endurance. Winners from each club competition will go on to compete in the regionals, with the winners advancing to the national competition. Registration is now open and all events are open for spectators.

Alpha Showdown pushes competitors to their mortal limits, while creating a comprehensive performance challenge that only the most well trained athlete can endure. Participants will first be tested in the power gauntlet through foundational movements that test raw power and mental toughness. Next, competitors will experience the strength gauntlet including a series of resistance exercises, which are designed to test strength and endurance through various weighted movements. Finally, survivors will finish with the endurance gauntlet, a non-stop intense obstacle course that athletes must press through pain before crossing the finish line.

AlphaShowdown competitions will also take place in Vernon Hills, Warrenville, Algonquin, Bloomingdale, Orland Park, Romeoville, Schaumburg and Skokie-Old Orchard.
