Extreme Cold In Burr Ridge: What's Closed
Due to the extreme cold in the forecast, several services and schools will be closed on Wednesday.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Schools, services and other organizations will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to the historic and dangerous cold moving into the area. Some of the coldest temperatures will be Tuesday night and Wednesday night, when temps will be -20 to -30, the National Weather Service said. On Wednesday, temperatures will remain below zero and will struggle to get above zero on Thursday as well.
As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, schools who have announced closures for Wednesday, Jan. 30 are:
- District 181 - Closed Wednesday AND Thursday
- District 180
- District 86 (Hinsdale Township High Schools)
- District 107 (Pleasantdale District)
- Trinity Lutheran School
Indian Prairie Public Library in Darien will also be closing early at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and will be closed all day Wednesday.
