The Falcons 93 NFC Gold won first BGYFL playoff game vs. South Elgin.
Tommy Skokna grabbed an interception early in the first quarter and set the momentum in favor of the Falcons. Joey Antonietti carried the ball for a 35+ yard touchdown run and David Laughter rushed in the extra point. Falcons led 7-0.

Stellar offensive blocking by AJ Panos, Mikey Hinchman, Mason Shaker, JP Sporleder and Zach Hayes created space for Joey Antonietti and Sean Allison to move downfield. Billy O’Malley streaked around the left end for the touchdown run. Falcons led 13-0.
Smart playing by special teams created a turnover on the Falcons kickoff. Falcons offense came back on the field, Sean Allison and Tommy Skokna got two runs. Lynden McCarroll’s pass reception from David Laughter moved the Falcons within inches of the goal line. Joey Antonietti snuck in for 6 points. McCarroll completed the pass to Skokna for 2 extra points. It was 21-0 at the half.

Falcons offense opened up the second half. Offensive linemen Shaker, Hayes, Panos, Hinchman, and Sporleder kept blocking as Vinny Galassi, Stephen Schnur, Joey Antonietti and Elliot Harris rushed down field.
It wasn’t the offense alone on Saturday. The defensive front of Carter Lyons, Stephen Schnur and Calum Kelly pressured the Patriots and Vinny Galassi, Jack Levine and Billy O’Malley stopped the pass.
Falcons won 21-0.
