Five Seasons Burr Ridge Hosts 6th Young Life Fundraiser on February 27th
In addition to spinning, organizers add running and swimming to faith-based event featuring live music and prizes
For the sixth consecutive year, Young Life Eastern DuPage will be holding a fundraiser at Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Burr Ridge on Saturday, February 27th.
This time, it will be with a twist beyond the traditional spin-a-thon approach of the past five years. More precisely, organizers have added running and swimming components to the affair.
The Run-Swim-Spin Fundraiser at the club, 6901 S. Madison, begins with registration at 6:30 a.m. Thereafter, from 7 a.m. onward, 50-minute spin sessions start on each hour. The Spinathon wraps up at noon. Organizers added running and swimming options for participants as well.

The swimming and running options were added to expand participation to those who do not spin, said Emily Cain, a spin instructor at Five Seasons who is also actively involved with Young Life.
Sponsorships and other levels of support are available, including a Century Ride challenge for those looking to ride at least 100 virtual miles on one of the 24 stationary bikes to be put into use during the five-hour event.

Refreshments and light food will be provided throughout and a live band, The JukeBox Heroes, will also be performing. Prizes and give-aways will also be part of the festivities, and anyone who participates is welcome to spend the day at Five Seasons.
The registration fee of $50 covers one 50-minute class, with all proceeds going toward the Young Life chapter.
“This is a fun way to support all of the great work that Young Life does to support the high school-age kids in our community,” Cain said. “Plus, everyone who takes part gets in a great workout at the same time.”
Young Life is an international faith-based Christian organization where adult leaders from the community mentor and build friendships with teens in the area.
