Fundraiser For Woman Shot In Burr Ridge

The fundraising page identifies the 31-year-old woman. She has undergone two surgeries so far, page says.

BURR RIDGE, IL – A GoFundMe page has been created for the receptionist who was shot Tuesday at a Burr Ridge business.

The GoFundMe page identifies the woman as Ana Brankovikj Jovanovikj. Police said she is 31.

The page said she was shot three times and suffered injuries to her shoulder, hip and leg. So far, she has undergone two successful surgeries, according to the page.

A third surgery is pending, followed by a long period of recovery. The page asks for help with covering Jovanovikj's hospital bills.

Created about 12 hours ago, the page has drawn $81,000 in donations, with more than 350 contributors.

Jeremy Jerome Spicer, 31, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, shot his boss, Nikola Misovic, 30, at Winners Freight, 16W475 S. Frontage Road, on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Misovic died shortly after.

Spicer then went to Force Logistics in the same building, where he used to work. There, he shot the receptionist, police said.

He visited a third business in the building and asked for the owner, who was not there. He then left.

Spicer then walked about a mile to a business in the 7900 block of Madison Street. When officers confronted him there, he shot himself, taking his own life, police said.

His weapon was a .40-caliber handgun, police said.
