Gottlieb Memorial Partners with AARP to Help Seniors Drive Smart
Drivers age 50 and older are invited to register for the AARP Smart Driver course at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
MELROSE PARK, IL – Drivers age 50 and older are invited to register for the AARP Smart Driver course at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. Completion of the Smart Driver course may qualify participants for an auto insurance discount.
The four-hour course will be held Monday, April 23, and Tuesday, April 24 from 9 am to 1 pm in the Gottlieb Professional Office Building, 675 W. North Avenue, Melrose Park. Participants need only attend one day.
"If you've been driving for some time, you know the basics and the rules of the road, but it never hurts to get a refresher on some things you may have forgotten along the way," said instructor Bob Marshall. "This is a great opportunity to ask questions and possibly learn something new."
The class is $15 for existing AARP members and $20 for non-members. Light refreshments will be served.
Participants should contact their auto insurance company to find out if completing the program qualifies them for a discount.
A second opportunity to take the Smart Driver course will be held in October.
