For 33 years, parents have trusted Grand Avenue Preschools as the important first step in their child’s education. Their program focuses on fully preparing children academically and socially for their elementary education years. Grand Avenue Directors are in regular contact with local area grade schools to use the same teaching tools as they do, such as Jolly Phonics© and Handwriting without Tears© to ensure a smooth transition to kindergarten.
Along with an emphasis on social and emotional development, the curriculum at Grand Avenue also includes math, language arts, natural sciences, music, art and fine/gross motor stimulation. Their program is aligned with the Illinois learning standards, developed by the Illinois State Board of Education and Grand Avenue is proud to be the only preschool in this area nationally accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).
