Hinsdale D86 Earns Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting
The district received recognition for the 2013-14 fiscal year Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

Hinsdale Township High School District 86 reported that The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International has awarded its Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting award to District 86 for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. The District was recognized for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014.
“We are very proud to receive this award,” remarked District 86 Chief Financial Officer Bill Eagan. “The Administration and Business Office have worked diligently to improve reporting and strengthen financial management practices. It is gratifying to be recognized for our efforts and we will incorporate ASBO’s suggestions as we continue to pursue excellence in the financial management of our District.”

According to the award sponsor, the Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC), the Certificate of Excellence award confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
ASBO International is a professional organization of 5,000 members that provides programs and services to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth, and the effective use of education resources.
