Hinsdale Falcons 93 NFC Gold Beat Lombard Falcons, 25-0

The Falcons’ win over Lombard on Saturday puts the 93 NFC Gold team at 7-0 for the season.

They led Lombard 12-0 at the half and pulled away with a win, 25-0.

Carter Lyons, AJ Panos, Billy O’Malley stopped the Lombard Falcons on the 5 yard line to end Lombard’s first and longest offensive drive of the game. The defensive strength of Vinny Galassi, Joey Antonietti, Steven Schnur, AJ Panos, Zach Hayes, Mason Shaker and Calum Kelly ensured Lombard didn’t make it to the goal line for the rest of the game.

Our opening series ended with Tommy Skokna’s TD run. The second drive featured Joey Attonietti, Sean Allison and Billy O’Malley running and a pass completion for Lynden McCarroll to Skokna. Ultimately, Billy O’Malley capped the lengthy possession with a touchdown. The offensive linemen Mason Shaker, Zach Hayes, AJ Panos, Mikey Hinchman, and JP Sporleder blocked well and created space for the run and pass efforts. Hinsdale led 12-0 at half time.

It was Joey, Sean and Billy running in the next series. Joey Antonietti got the TD and the run in for the extra point to make it 19-0, Hinsdale.

Billy O’Malley took his interception in to add the last 6 pts.

A busy offense meant a lot of kickoffs for special teams. David Laughter, Elliot Harris, Tommy Skokna, Vinny Galassi and Jack Levine made it difficult for Lombard to start a drive with good field position.

In the end, the Falcons rushed for 19 points and got one pick 6, for the 25-0 win over Lombard.
