“We wanted to celebrate all the academic accomplishments achieved by our students,” said Hinsdale South Principal Stephanie Palmer. “By giving these students the opportunity to shine at school as well as at an evening ceremony, we hope that they will serve as an inspiration to other students. We want to encourage all students to realize that they can be Hornet Scholars too.”

During the school day, students received a special T-shirt and were invited to an ice cream celebration where they were welcomed by the school’s leadership team, which includes the principal, assistant principals, deans, counseling, athletic and activities directors, as well as the school mascot, Victor E. Hornet.
