Hinsdale South's World Language Department Congratulates 145 National Winners

Over 38,000 teachers administered the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese National Spanish Exam in April of 2015.

• Gold: Students scoring at or above the 95th percentile.
• Silver: Students scoring at or above the 85th through 94th percentile.
• Bronze: Students scoring from the 75th through the 84th percentile.
• Honorable mention: Students scoring at or above the 50th percentile (national average) through the 74th percentile.

This year 157,702 students took this exam throughout the nation.

These students will be honored by the Chicago Area Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese at the Chapter Awards Ceremony at Niles North High School at 10 a.m. on May 16. The ceremony will include entertainment, refreshments and presentation of almost $20,000 in prizes.
