Holiday Hair -Waves, Buns, Color and More!
Salon Hype Owner Ross Bartolomei Shares His "Secrets" for Holiday Hair
After having the pleasure of spending a day with celebrity colorist/stylist Chris Greene from Los Angeles, I can report that hair and color for winter is really about creating soft subtle blondes and brunettes. Definitely include reds in there as well. At Salon Hype, we have already been trending in the same direction, but now we have all the details that can make our clients look like the hottest celebrities. For blondes, even after freshly highlighting, there is now one additional step. We apply a toner only to the roots! It’s subtle and beautiful. Yes, you actually leave the salon feeling like you’ve achieved a soft two inch out growth, but the difference between having a natural outgrowth and one that salon Hype will create for you, is the out growth will have a sun kissed look. We know all the secrets to give you this amazing look. Brunettes overall are toned down, similar to blondes with strategic subtle highlights and a sun kissed look. Reds, not to be outdone, have more of a burgundy hue with subtle flashes of blonde around the face. All of these colors are simply beautiful. And, why not, its holiday time! This is not all - braids and waves are hotter than ever! But, like hair color this season, waves are a bit toned down. If you’ve been curling your hair, and after curling your entire head, breakout the flat Iron and straighten your ends. Yes, it gives your hair more of an undone look. The holiday can also be a time for more polish, and you may consider a low or high bun. For the crowning touch add a few pearls around the bun to make more of a statement. All of these looks can be created at any of Salon Hype’s locations. Happy Holidays from Salon Hype! Look for my spring 2016 hair forecast in January.
