Hot Streak Continues For Falcons 93 NFC Gold

The Falcons out-gained the Panthers, with all three touchdowns resulting from their running game.

The Falcons 93 NFC Gold team remains 6-0 for the season, after Saturday’s 20-6 win v. Downers Grove Panthers.

The Falcons out-gained the Panthers, with all three touchdowns resulting from their running game. Offensive linemen Mikey Hinchman, Zach Hayes, Mason Shaker, JP Sporleder and AJ Panos blocked well and created space for the running backs to break through. Sean Allison scored the first touchdown. The Falcons led 7-0 at half time.

Snow flurries didn’t slow down the Falcons, they turned up the heat. Two big runs delivered 2 touchdowns in the second half. Joey Antonietti had a 44-yard TD run and Billy O’Malley had a 70-yard TD run. The extra points were converted by Joey Antonietti and Tommy Skokna, each ran in for a one point conversion. In the end, the Falcons rushed for all 20 points.

The defense stressed over a couple of turnovers, Steven Schnur, Tommy Skokna and Calum Kelly prevented them from turning into points. Jack Levine and Lynden McCarroll effectively stopped their passing attempts. The Panthers final attempt to drive down the field ended with a sack by Carter Lyons and David Laughter.

Special teams kept the heat on, Billy O’Malley, Vinny Galassi and Elliot Harris ensured the Falcons good position on the punt returns.

The Falcons 93 NFC Gold team kept the streak going in pink socks to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
