Indian Prairie Library Hosts Artist In Residence

An accomplished painter in oils and acrylics, Moy is also known for her mural work both in the United States and abroad.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Indian Prairie Public Library will hold a new artist in residence for July, August and September. Fanny Moy will be in the library lobby from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday in July (July 10, 17, 24 and 31). Her August and September schedule will be announced.

According to the library website, Moy was born in Hong Kong and raised in Chicago. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Moy lives in Westmont and is a member of both the Downers Grove Artists' Guild and the Oak Brook Art League. An accomplished painter in oils and acrylics, Moy is also known for her mural work both in the United States and abroad.

“Wherever I land, I do my art, find my creative tribe, and when possible, teach others, young and old, a way to express themselves creatively," Moy said in a release.
