After an accident, in which fortunately no one was hurt, the family went through some more discussion with the caregiver and found out that she just hired herself out as a companion. She had references much like a maid or a cook might have when they present themselves for an interview. However the family soon learned that they were very lucky things did not end up any worse than they did.

Her caregiver, hired by her family with the best intentions, took her grocery shopping.  Much to the family’s dismay, it came out eventually that the lady was not a licensed caregiver. In fact she wasn’t a licensed anything, including driver!
