King-Bruwaert House welcomes Andrew Beltz as the new Senior Director of Development, Marketing and Communications. Beltz will play a key role in directing new development and marketing initiatives for the 86-year-old continuous care retirement community in Burr Ridge.

Beltz earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations from Illinois State University in Normal. Following graduation, he served as the Public Relations and Event Coordinator for Marklund, a Geneva-based not-for-profit organization that specializes in services for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities. At Marklund, he planned and organized many major fund-raising events, including an annual golf outing, black-tie gala and other community events. Beltz also worked with the Marketing Director in handling all internal and external communications for Marklund, including press and media relations, website content and donor relations.

After heading his own business for several years, Beltz was named as Graduate School Advisor for the DeVry University Admissions Department. He successfully led DeVry’s Admissions Department for eight years in various capacities, including the leadership of an advisory team assigned to undergraduate and graduate studies. Most recently, Beltz served as Campus Dean overseeing operations and community outreach for two of DeVry’s seven locations in the Chicago area.

Beltz has also served as a board member of the Winfield Education Foundation that serves to enhance and enrich educational opportunities for School District 34.

“We are excited that Andy Beltz will become part of our K-B family and will bring excellent skills and creativity to our organization,” said K-B CEO Terri Bowen. “We have many new and exciting projects on the horizon that will require a team-focused, experienced leader who will be able to connect to our residents and the community.”
