King-Bruwaert House names Julie Ryan of Burr Ridge as Assistant Administrator

Julie Ryan has been promoted to Assistant Administrator of King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge. Ryan, employed with the retirement community since March, 2004, most recently served as Senior Director of Admissions and Community Development. In her new capacity, she will oversee more than 40 employees in Admissions, Marketing, Community Outreach, Fundraising, Life Enrichment, Housekeeping, Food Services and volunteers.

Ryan, a resident of Burr Ridge and formerly of Western Springs, earned a Nursing Home Administrator license in spring, 2017. Currently, she is completing a management program offered through the Mather LifeWays organization in Evanston. She holds a masters degree from DePaul University-Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN. She also earned a certificate in Nonprofit Professional Development from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

A graduate of Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, Ryan currently serves on the Institutional Advancement Committee of the Nazareth Board of Directors. She has also been a volunteer with the Contemporary Museum of Art of Chicago.

“We are very pleased that Julie has assumed new and expanded duties at our retirement community,” said Chief Executive Officer Terri Bowen. “As we prepare to celebrate our 85th anniversary in 2018, Julie will play an important role as we plan for the future and prepare for market changes.”
