King-Bruwaert House joins risk management cooperative
King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge to expand risk management resources and initiatives
King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge has become a member of Caring Communities, a Reciprocal Risk Retention group that provides liability insurance, education and risk management services for the nation’s leading not-for-profit continuing care retirement communities and aging services providers.

King-Bruwaert House CEO Terri Bowen believes the membership with Caring Communities will help to position the historic and mission-based retirement community with expanded resources and risk management planning initiatives.

“The decision of our Board of Directors and leadership team to move forward with this partnership gives us an opportunity to enhance our risk management approaches through best practices and professional, specialized training,” Bowen said. “There is great benefit to collaborating with an organization that integrates services with exceptional senior care agencies. This is a way to incorporate best risk management practices for our organization that will benefit both our residents and staff.”
The risk management program will be overseen by Senior Director of Human Resources and Risk Management Nicole Slightom and Senior Director of Finance Judy Sanders.
